Manor Farm Swallet as an s.r.t. trip

I propose to do Manor Farm Swallet as an s.r.t. trip, say in a few weeks time.
I have done this once before (as s.r.t., it worked well),
much less tiring than ladders, then do the rest of the cave.
Any Axbridge interested?

Hughie and me have been seen in a cave or two recently, though we prefer ladders these days. (all that Templeton training.)

The lovely C.S.C.C. have recently agreed to "P" bolt September Rift.
It was actually done yesterday.

Why SRT? All you need is a rope for the entrance shaft and self lifeline out. All the other climbs are avoidable or freeclimbable.

For you, perhaps; I can definitely state that there are people who would not be able/happy to free climb September Rift or the entrance shaft, either.

Using a panteon on September Rift
makes ascending extremly easy.

I failed to free climb SR and ended up having Les provide an assisted handline. I am not impressed at myself and should I return to MFS I would want to at least attempt to overcome the damn thing under my own steam without use of shiney things!!

Well Axbridgecaver for one was representing your interests at the CSCC meeting. The MCG C&A Officer wasn't in attendance.

Just in case MCG Conservation chappie is interested, CSCC has 20 rolls of marker tape for when another gazillion yards of cave is unearthed in UFS by someone pushing a pebble to one side. Just give us a shout if you need some (LesW will have some stock and I hold the other half; 24hr free delivery service available for new discoveries!).

In my very humble opinion the air was good for Manor Farm Swallet,
best I have known it for some years, actually.

Flagging tape. Non-bleaching, high vis, plasticised fabric.

Yep. Although some remuneration may be required for stock replenishment, depending on how crispy my seaweed is on the particular day we meet.
