Student Cavers Rescued

4 members of OUCC (Oxford) were trapped underground in Spain due to floods according to the BBC, but got out before rescuers reached them.

From the article:
"He said the group, which was on an annual expedition, had called the rescue service during the latest incident as a precaution when the members failed to regroup at the time they had set.

The club said no-one had been hurt and the cavers had taken extra food and supplies with them for warmth."

So, some cavers exceded their call-out time (possibly due to flooding - the article isn't specific) and a call-out was instigated, as would be expected. They were prepared to wait it out. Not much of a news item.

Thirst is a shameless disease so here's to a shameful cure.

It was thanks to them I got to see the rescue helicopter fly over head then while I was hiking in Pekos then?
I hate hammers!
