Provisional Members' Weekend

What a great weekend at SWCC. It was great to see so many new faces, all of whom went caving, and to hear so much positive feedback. Thanks to Lizzy for organising it all and making it run so smoothly, to Judy for the excellent food, and to all those who led caving trips for our new members. Thanks also to those who gamely battled to light fireworks in the teeth of the usual Penwyllt November weather.

Only one question, Lizzy...when's the next one?

Thanks SWCC!! I'm a complete begginer at caving and I attended the Provisionals' Weekend last month and had a fantastic time; so much so, in fact, that at the end of the weekend I decided to sign up to become a provisional member (if you're prepared to put up with me!). Thanks everyone - particularly Lizzy, Bill, Jenny, Peter and Piers - for making us feel welcome and taking us caving.

Craig: Did you go caving on the Sunday in OFD I with Jenny and Peter? If so, there are photos on Facebook; PM me and I'll give you the link. A few of us from the Provisionals' Weekend are planning to go to the club on the committee weekend this month - see you there?

Claire, glad to hear you enjoyed the provisionals' weekend and that you're coming back. Look forward to seeing you and any others on the committee weekend. I have a commitment to go digging on the Saturday but will be happy to take a group caving on Sunday, if you don't get a better offer.
