Sticky Suunto inclinometer

I bought a Suunto tandem off Ebay with the understanding that it had a bad clino. Paid $7. When I got it the inclinometer appeared to work perfectly, and the tandem was in overall perfect condition. However, once I started surveying, the clino started to stick, and was useless. Now it seems that the sticking is due to temperature... it works fine in my hot house.

Any fix-it ideas? I've never had one apart, and the only adjustable part would seem to be the center screw. Is this a common problem? Does anyone still use a Suunto?

Thanks

I have a Suunto clino that does the same. I found that I could use it underground by keeping it warm next to my skin.
