Third party information is that it got too narrow and they gave up but I might be wrong.
 
Not sure they have actually given up yet. Yes it is narrow at the end but the air stays fresh. They are thinking whether to re-apply for permission to continue digging when their current rights expire shortly. I think Andrew Atkinson would be the person to ask for details.

Best to say we are not that enthused, compared to other projects, but will probably occasionally do something. Calcite has filled the 15cm rufty feature we were following. Survey minus the most recent few metres is in the cave archive repository for Cheddar. If people want a look, contact me by email, I'll let you know when I'm around

Geology is limstone!!!!
