Just bought "This Mountain Life - The first hundred years of the Rucksack Club" as it was on sale at Cotswold & although it's mostly about climbing it does include a photo of members outside Giant's Hole in c.1904, more recently in 1000m deep Fuente de Escuain, Pyrenees in 1991 & mentions bottoming Sima GESM in 1981...

Anyone got any other gems that might otherwise be missed?

In this years 'Welcome to Yorkshire' magazine(Free from TIC) there is a 4 page glossy spread on Yorkshire caving. The usual photo's that have appeared in the press over the years...Including one of 'Pegasus' coming out of Cow pot. The ascociated article describes the author being taken through Bar pot.
