Further to the rock fracturing undertaken earlier this year, we can confirm that there will be a one day fracture during week commencing Monday 14th November 2016.

The fracture is expected to be undertaken on either Tuesday 15th November or Thursday 17th November 2016; the exact date is dependent on the duration of the  pre-drilling stage of the operation.

The fracture will take place at 16.00hrs with the possibility of a short series of events rather than just a single event.

There may be a slight increase in noise and vibration during the fracturing and monitoring stations will be set up around the area to record any effect. A siren will sound in advance to alert you that the fracturing is about to be undertaken.

For safety reasons there will be a 15 minute road closure on the realigned Main Road/Hafod Road alongside the site.

Costain will be working within agreed guidelines and with the County Borough Environmental Health Officer and will endeavour to limit the noise and vibration during this work to acceptable levels.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this work and should you have any queries please contact our Public Liaison officer Phil Baker
