HELP - what do you use as a replacement for a BDH?

Last weekend I lost the top off my BDH hard container - I dropped it into a fast flowing stream and it disappeared off to never, never land before I could rescue it :(

I've been trawling the web for a replacement container and I can't find anything suitable. Any ideas anyone? It's used for food and spare batteries. I've tried Palm stack boxes but I think they've gone out of production as I can't find them in stock anywhere :(

Daren drums are good (but maybe a bit bigger than 'your average' BDH container?). I've used the smaller waterproof boxes marketed under their own name by Inglesport with good results.

Have you considered making something up out of 110mm /4inch drainage pipe, there are all manner of terminations and fittings available.  To ensure stuff stays absolutely dry inside your homemade tube make a "pig" out of a section of old inner tube.

you could try looking out in army surplus places for old mortar bomb tubes, though they'll need O rings adding to the lid to seal them.

No idea if these would be any good. They are BDH branded though. Expensive too!
