Moving to Newcastle
« on: August 28, 2016, 09:44:55 pm »
Hi there,
I'm moving up to Newcastle(South Shields) in a couple of weeks and am looking to do some more caving. I am wondering if there are any clubs, or people that might be able to help me or point me in the right direction(I'm a student, kind of, Newcastle uni??). I have done a bits and bobs over the years, so not completely new to it, but I have never been in the location to get properly stuck in!
Thanks,
Oli Tucker

Hi Oli,

If you are going to be a registered student with Newcastle University, you are more than welcome to join us!
Most of the club will be back from summer break around the 20th September, and we generally run trips from October through May every fortnight.
We meet in the Strawberry Pub (opposite St James football grounds)on Tuesdays and run regular SRT training sessions at a local climbing wall every week or so before trips.

If you want to drop me a PM on here I can give you more info and contact details and answer any questions you may have.

All the best,

Joe
