I have to admire the way the chap used the hammer.  I am sure I would have missed and got my fingers.

Imagine doing that all day, every day, in all weathers.
Places like the quarries at the top of the Clee hills in Shropshire.
Then "bosting" the blocks down to the size of the setts behind him.
