On the weekend of 27th - 29th April there will be an advanced SRT training session held up in the Yorkshire Dales. The course is aimed at people who are competent at personal srt but are wanting to run trips, train others in SRT, keen to practice or learn rescue techniques and maybe go on expedition. There will be no formal qualification at the end, but we aim to improve every candidates ability and knowledge. The course will be run by experienced cavers, trained IRATA personal, members of cave rescue and maybe a CIC if we're lucky.
The course will be held over two days, saturday at a training barn near Settle and on the sunday we will either go caving or have some sort of rescue practice in a cave if there is interest.
The course will cost about ?20 a head, which will cover accommodation, food and the training and we will be staying at the BPC hut at Brackenbottom. There are only 15 places on this course, so there will be a maximum of 4 places per club.
