BERNIE?S CAFE and Caving Gear Shop is NOT CLOSING !!
Sometime back a well meaning but possibly mis-leading message was distributed by Howard Beck to say that Bernie?s is closing down this year !
I?ve had lots of folk surprised that we?re still here !
This has prompted me to try and put the picture straight. I?m 65 this year and I?ve made the decision to stop cooking this year !
That?s it, I?m NOT closing. We WILL still sell gear and we will still serve tea, coffee & cakes.
Andy will run the gear side as usual and I?m hoping that not much will change for most people.
I am still trying to either sell the business or lease the cafe. Meanwhile I want to go on more holidays.

I am really upset that this has happened. My original posting only said that Steve was planning to close the cafe, not the gear shop as well. But it appears that many people have misinterpreted my message. STeve will continue caving and outdoor gear sales through the shop and via his website.
