Members of the Eldon will be working down Eldon hole over the next couple of months so we have left the north side of the entrance shaft rigged.  We'd appreciate it if people left the rope in-situ and use one of the other routes down the entrance.

Do you have any results from your project down Eldon Hole?

Not a lot.  We've started digging at a new site in the floor of the main chamber, but work commitments have kept Dan and myself away for the last few weeks so no progress has been made.

The top section of the entrance has been derigged and if anyone does want to drop down that particular pitch and decide they need to derig our rope lower down could they please leave it on the ledge where our rigging starts

I understand from Dan that you dug against the back wall and sunk a shaft to -5m whereupon the wall started to run under the shaft.  You have now backfilled this shaft and are digging another - Is this correct? and do you have any images? (don't worry too much about quality) that I could use for the forthcoming Peaks Update at HE.
