New digs in Assynt

Two new digs started during the latest Mendip Migration plus the usual tons of rubble excavated from Rana Hole (now over 30 metres deep).  One dig is 3 G's situated in the flood overflow basin from the main Claonaite sink (400 metres in a straight line from Claonaite entrance). It's in solid rock and easy digging. Length 3 metres at present.

Just beyond the connection to upstream Anus we have pushed up into a draughting choke with a stream audible. Another easy dig previously ignored as thought to go to the surface.

Wall to wall sun for a week - incredible. Everybody has suntans.

Nice one.  The mound of spoil by Rana Hole will soon be the first spoil heap to attain "Munro" status...

It sticks out like a sore thumb on the hillside so will the calling in the Knights who 'Ni' to put in a split level shrubbery.

Yes it's up and running (pedalling) nicely. sort of a static tour de sutherland.  Plus a very neat monorail at the top which automatically tips the kibbles into a wheelbarrow.

JRat mentioned they were driving up on Christmas Day as it was a good motorway travelling day. Sounds wise. 9hrs, apparently.
