Black Mountain

This is a relatively remote area and one of great potential for future discoveries. The area can be roughly defined as running from the Swansea Valley in the East, right across towards Ammanford in the West. There are three major resurgences in the area having little known cave associated with them. These resurgences are at Llygad Llwchwr, Ffrydiau Twrch and Ffrwd Las. The Dan-yr-ogof catchment is also part of the Black Mountain, but for the purposes of this site, that cave has been allocated to the Swansea Valley area.
