Description

Small Active swallet. A short waterfall pitch (4m)lands you at the bottom of a rather unstable pot with some rather nice coral formations in a band around the south east edge. Following the water through a low bedding crawl, enters a reasonably proportioned rift. A bridging climb up to the back of the rift reveals a window in the left wall into a parrallel pot which is dry and muddy with fine examples of fossils. This leads down to a boulder and mud choked floor. Back in the rift, the water is followed to a rather damp climb down and crawl back under ones self. Further damp & sporting climbs heading down the riftlead to an eventual a narrowing and boulder blockage in the rift. Currently being dug by the Eldon Pothole Club. (Jan 2007).

WARNING : the stream is very active and the climbs would be come extemely testing and dangereous if caught out by a flood. There is currently nowhere to get away from the water, so be warned.

History

Discovered during the creation of the foundations of the near by stone cutting sheds. (c200?)

Dug by EPC (T-pot) and TSG - M. Noble/J. Beck.
