Authors: Dave Elliot and Dick Lawson
Publisher: Lizard Speleo-Systems 1987
This was the first rigging guide for the Dales based around the use of SRT rather than ladders. It was intended as much as anything to demonstrate the different approach required for SRT. Dick Lawson's rigging diagrams used a convention which has since been widely adopted. Dave Elliot's text has a large number of caustic comments sprinkled within it which upset a few, and amused many. Simon Raven's many photographs illustrate well the nature of undertaking Yorkshire pitches on ropes.
