Sheppard, Jack

Jack Sheppard (31st March 1909 - 14th July 2001) was a pioneer cave diver and founder of the Cave Diving Group. He is particularly known for the early attempts to pass Sump 1 in Swildons Hole with Graham Balcombe, becoming the first person to pass the sump in October 1936 using home made equipment.
