Description

One of Mendips finest Access is controlled by the BEC (Bristol Exploration Club) who have done much of the work, exploration and conservation of this beautifully decorated and complicated Mendip cave.

You can usually find a BEC member at the Hunter's Lodge Inn or Visit Tony at Bat Products in Wells.

Most other major caving clubs have designated "Wardens" who can offer members of their own club a trip into this cave also.

The BEC published a book on St cuthberts (available from Bat Products or the club itself)

Other info is also available in Mendip Underground, however due to the complexity of this cave system, a "warden" who knows the way is definately advised.
