Help please - Photographs needed

Dear All,

I've been asked to help gather some photographs for the shiny new BCA website (exciting  ;) )

Tim and I asked for similar help with New to Caving and so many caving photographers were very helpful so I hoped you could help me again please  (y)

Credit will be given of course.

Photos need to?

Be in the UK or Ireland

High resolution

Landscape

Include details of where they are

Have permission to use on the new BCA website

...and I would add - suitable for use on the BCA website so inspiring and showcasing caving in the UK at it's best - fun shots, beautiful shots, inspiring shots - you get the idea....

Please post your shots here (don't have to be high res but do have a high res version available if your shot is chosen).

How to post photos here: https://ukcaving.com/board/index.php?topic=19799.0

Thanks so much for your help  (y) (y)

Cheers, Jane

Thanks to those (few) who contacted me ref photos for BCA.

Folks, I know you keep hearing it however it's true - cavers, cavers you may well know, put a huge amount of effort into running (and improving) BCA - 100's of volunteer hours and I've been asked to help one of them (see above).

Surely, between us we can provide some decent photos for the new website - please??

Thanks, Jane

BCA can use anything from the Portland Caves website - I can provide high res images as required by email (all images on there are mine apart from a small number which are clearly marked otherwise).  I'm afraid my photography skills are lacking though so I can't offer any of the stunning images you'd probably want which the better photographers on here produce.  Would be nice to see something representing Portland on it though!

Some of my personal favourite pics that I have taken are in a Flickr album here:

You'd be welcome to any and I can provide full res versions. I really love this one...

There are hundreds of photos on my Flickr stream from trips out with clients, you'd be fine to use any of those that catch your eye too as I have paperwork to cover their use online.

Not that I've got anything of much interest but I am wondering what constitutes "high res" and why high resolution is needed for a website?

You've got some nice pictures there, Rob; is the last one 'The Shoot-Out at the OFD Corral'?

Fulk, TBH i can't quite remember, but "Coral" passage or aven or something rings a bell! If i remember correctly these formations were just nearby? It was an OFD 1 roundtrip, and is my only phototrip where the legendary Westlake was a model for me! Talk about pressure!!!

I hope you gave Clive a flash and very precise instructions on what to do with it. Clives' instructions are legendary  ;) ;)

. . . yeah, including the one where I was standing knee deep in a big plunge pool in a certain Swiss cave, when he told me to step 30 cm to my right. I did as instructed and promptly disappeared from view into 10 feet of water

I'll get my own back, one day.
