?The Underground Atlas? by John Middleton & Tony Waltham (1986) First Edition

An international compendium of caves including continental maps, sketches, photographs and information. Certainly for the inexperienced caver, the wealth of caving systems across our planet may come as a surprise. Indeed, for the most of us here, we may well be unsurprised to learn of the vastness of the underworld and yet, this book offers a significant guide the magnitude of the greatness of it all.

As much as the apparent intent of this work is to provide a basis of reference; it is a well written and a compelling read filled with useful information. Exactly the kind of information you wish you could remember but generally find has left your brain when you want to summon it back.

A tome of international goodness.

Yup, the British Caving Library has a copy and we also have the 1992 Edition.  Agree that it's well worth a read with excellent illustrations.  Definitely should be on every caver's bookshelf!

a bargain at ?2.92.  If I was selling this, it would not cover my postage let alone Ebay fees.
