Mick - when did anyone say they were going to? Not content with following up other people's statements of intent, you now seem to be inventing them. Silly boy. You are clearly bored today.

I had "heard" that The Cheddar were undertaking a big surveying project with the intention of trying to understand if most (all) the caves in the area, were actually  a system.
Bath Swallet,
Rod's Pot,
Drunkard's Hole,
Bos Swallet.

I expect I have misheard
but it does seem a feasible idea and well worth the effort trying to find out.

Bath Swallet, Rod's Pot, Drunkard's Hole & Bos Swallet are indeed all part of the same drainage system.

If you wish to see the latest and best account of these caves - and the other caves around Burrington Combe then you should get the next edition of UBSS Proceedings currently in preparation.

Fine, but when did anyone say they were going banging in Drunkards, so that you were oddly prompted to remind them that it hadn't happened yet?

Correct.  We are surveying the caves to try and predict where connections and extensions might be found.  We have dug, over the last year, a 20 metre long tube in Drunkards which is heading in the direction of Rods.  Time will tell if we can link these caves together - but don't hold your breath.  If you are really that interested, Mick, come digging with us and see for yourself.

I am very interested,
when will this publication be made available Graham?

Within 24 hours of us receiving it from the printers. Better than that I cannot say at the moment.
