I've been in contact with Mike Colledge, the guy with 400 PDA cases. I'm thinking about buying a batch off him to give away at cost price, just so I know how many to buy can you let me know if you would consider buying one off me at hidden earth? He's offered me 30 for ?200 (?6.66) each but seeing as he used to do a 2 for ?10 deal, I think I might be able to talk the price down.

Here is a link to the previous thread.

I'll be at HE and would love a couple of cases. So could you reserve 2 for me please?

Thank you for organising.

Hi Cookie, Yeah no problem. I or someone else from ULSA (Uni of Leeds Speleological Association) will be looking after them behind our stand in the main hall.  (y)

If anyone out there uses any of the Android OS surveying software the cases are good for that too, the built in protective screen works with more modern capacitive screens found on smart phones, even better if you have you have a special stylus. Your welcome to come and try the case out to see if your device fits/works in the case  :) I've posted some pictures in the link below

Mine's had numerous gritty muddy trips into the depths of Grebe since March and works a treat :) My Dell X51 is about the perfect size for access to the buttons/screen. I picked up a slightly larger screened Ipaq (by about 0.5") cheap on eBay but couldn't use stylus on the edge of screen in the case.

I've been using one with a Sony Xperia Z Compact (which is unfortunately now drifting somewhere around the rail network) and it works a treat, although I have to pad it out at the back to stop it slipping around, and the power button is on the side so I have to tell the screen not to sleep and make sure it gets prodded every 30 minutes. The fact that the screen is flush makes it even better - my pda's screen is recessed behind a bevel which makes the protective film move more than I'd like...

I'll take another off your hands at HE as a backup though.
