Nice  (y) I wonder if they sourced the materials for the sides from the local forests ? Is a lovely technique and just shows what can be done with motivation

I was just as interested to see them spinning those giant anchor ropes up to be honest, or whether they just buy them in. That's some hefty stuff to be knocking up in a jungle.

You're not wrong. A bridge on Highway 126 crosses a hundred metres or so to the south.  But it appears to be a cultural Annual Renewal Ritual thing, which didn't get done last year for obvious reasons.

Coolest bridge I have ever seen is s speciality of Meghalaya, the living root bridge here in double decker form.
