i enjoy the trouble and work in putting together and dry and steam sauna from a pair of pole shears, a roll of duct tape and two 10 by 15 plastic sheets..... cut 14 poles six to eight feet in length and tape them and shape them into a stable rectanglar shape 4 foot hi and five deep by 6-8 foot long.....heat up several large square rocks in a blazing log fire untill red thru and thru........drap the plastic sheets crosswise over the rectangle of poles and then drag and stack the rocks inside and rinse off the ash with the frount door open (without blistering your hands).....closet yourself along with male and female friends in vaarious states of disrobe and inebriation within the structure and bask in the dry heat until the rocks begin to cool........then add slowly water to the rocks creating steam wwhich makes things verrrrry hot again.......a good pile of rocks properly heated will give forty five minutes to an hour of usable heat..........a nearby spring is a wonderful place to leap into after overheating and overdrinking...............it is also an excellent way to find out if you have a bad ticker!!.... :?

I suspect you have a lot more cave to play with than us - If somebody tried building a sauna outside any Derbyshire caves we'd probably get arrested

yep, probably.....its only because of the number of probables that isolated spots exist where this sort of behavior is permitted,.......generally its on land owned by cavers or land purchased by cavers via the SCCI organization....(many old areas are closed......park warden weenies arrest those of us foolish enough to try to enjoy the springs and mountaintops in unauthorized ways.....it sux)................however, ...we just have to be more imaginative ....thasz all......
