Giant's Hole rumoured change to access - November 2003.

In spite of reports and rumours that the owner of Peakshill Farm now would prefer for Giant's Hole trespass fees to be paid by cheque, this is not the case and cavers are still able to pay by cash.

However, please observe the following: If you are in a large group with a chequebook, and the owner requests a cheque, please pay in this manner. Otherwise the owner is quite happy for payments to continue in cash as at present.

In due course a system will be provided whereby envelopes are provided for cavers to post their money through the letterbox and a handy platform on which to rest and note down their name and registration number.

In the meantime it may be worth considering providing your own envelopes.

On a more general note, everyone should remember that the access position at Giant's is maintained as a result of incredible goodwill on the part of the landowner, and great effort by DCA- so any requests for such cooperation are definitely best respected by us all....

Anyway, reason for writting - The envelope system is now up and running at Giants. As mentioned, leave your Trespass Fee in envelope, mark car registration and name on outside and then post as normal. There is a sign out in car park giving details, along with some envelopes.
