First Update from Scintilena Clarence:
The total number of the hungarian cavers was 10. Three of them were hit by the avalanche while they were exiting the cave. Two of them, a man and a woman have been swept up from a small avalanche and rescued themselfs but then another second avalanche hit them killing the two of them. The third caver (a man) escaped and asked for help while the rest seven hungarian cavers were still somewhere in the cave-system probably without knowledge of what happened outside the cave.

Update from Andrea Scatolini

A team of ten Hungarian cavers visited the cave Complesso diBila Pec (404 meters depth) in the Canin Mounth, Region Friuli Venezia Giuliaand. Yesterday evening three of them decided to interrupt their excursions in the cave and to ascent to the surface. During the ascent a small avalanche of soflty snow hit them. They survived and continued their way, but another avalanche bigger than the first hit them killing the two of them, a man and a girl. The third caver survived and after a night passed in the snow succedeed to call for aid. In the morning, the bodies of the two killed cavers transported to a near city and many rescuers arrived to the place of the accident trying to locate the rest cavers. In the evening, three of the rest cavers came to the surface without knowing the terrible news. They said that there are four more members still inside, not trapped, but exploring the cave at a depth of -350, -400 meters without knowledge of what happened and that it's possible to plan to stay inside the cave for one more day.

It is a sad day in Italy.
