Olympus TG 6 Flash Exclusion Box

Well, at last, I have upgraded to the TG 6. My goodness its a lot more complicated than the TG 4. Some useful stacking modes on Microscope so keen to try those out.
A while ago we talked about excluding the on-camera flash but still allowing the IR to trigger a remote slave gun thus eliminating back scatter. The TG 6 comes in a little protective plastic box. This can be quickly converted to a flash exclusion box with a bit of 35mm film. There is enough room to operate the camera. Here is the old TG 2 in the box.

Cut the two holes and fix the film bit with double sided tape. Easy.

While I am not at all familiar with operating the TG 6 a couple of minor niggles have come to light. The USB port is now down by the hinge of the cover making it harder to access. ( a different plug to the TG 4 ). Erasing images is less easy as you have to access the card set up menu rather than the simple scrolling on the TG 4. Well, that's how it seems to me . The PDF downloaded manual now rather akin to War and Peace.
