Full Weekend Road Closure from 20:00hrs on Friday 8th April 2016 to 06:00hrs on 11th April 2016


We would like to take this opportunity to inform you of a proposed full weekend road closure on the A465 Heads of the Valley at 20.00hrs on Friday 8th April through until 06.00hrs on Monday 11th April 2016.

The closure will facilitate a number of construction activities, but critically it is required for rock excavation, repairs to safety netting, demolition works and earthworks movements.

During the course of the closures full access will be maintained through the site for emergency services vehicles which will be escorted by our traffic management team. Also we intend to maintain controlled access across the closure at the Saleyard and Gilwern junctions.

Cancelled Road Closure - A465 Brynmawr to Gilwern?

Due to some technical issues a decision has been taken to postpone the forthcoming weekend closure.

To ensure each and every closure is utilised to best effect and disruption kept to an absolute minimum, an alternative closure will be notified in the week ahead. We regret and inconvenience caused.
