Saturday 28th
Dave Gration was the 1st diver in the Large Lake, just before the old incline denoted by its clay pipework, Dave dropped to a depth of about 25 mtrs  below dive base, we was all excited as we could see him at 25 mtrs from the surface as clear as day.
There were 2 teams of divers Mark Vaughan and Dave Gration which set off north and Ian France and Ryan Dearnaley who set off to the south, Mark Vaughan was lining in along side  Dave Gration who was waiting  with the camera.
Mark and Dave found a free hanging wooden bridge at about 40 mtrs from dive base , the bridge was an access route across the chamber for labour and materials servicing floor B , the ceiling  was falling at a 45 degree angle leading down to floor C, at about 60 mtrs they encountered a cart turntable and winch house , the turntable was partly intact with a mist of Hydrogen sulphate within the pit making a very eerie atmosphere.
The pump house still had a light fitting installed on the wall, which made a very good line laying tie off point, we proceed down the hauling tunnel where we were met with a number of side passages to the right, where the rail tracks was still present, at about 110mtrs they ran our of line and made this their turning point.
Ian France and Ryan set off left, but found no way on only a large hauling chamber. They then decided to head to the bridge that was found in 15m of water. I head to see if he could make the connection with existing line found in a walkway that was near the main lake. Heading into passageways, Ian found end of the walkway stairs which was lined off, and making a connection to this line. He then headed off down an unlined passageway for approx 30m, but this resulted in a dead end.

Excellent images. Fascinating to see the handrail still on the bridge - never seen one in as good condition above water.

Chris.
