"Digging Bath Stone, a Quarry and Transport History" by the late David Pollard

https://lightmoor.co.uk/books/digging-bath-stone/L8863.

This was a book that David had been working on for some years but unfortunately didn't get the chance to complete it while he was alive. However, its now been completed and is available now (see the link) but will be officially launched in June.

David Pollard had worked as a quarryman (not a 'miner'!) in and around Bath for years and had at one time owned/run the Hartham Park/Pickwick Quarry which had been open as a tourist attraction. Probably what David didn't know about about Bath stone quarrying wasn't worth knowing.

Definately one to add to the collection if you're interested in such things. I have!
