We unfortunately had to cancel the proposed night closure on 12th November due to the extremely poor weather forecast and the expected arrival of Storm Abigail.
We would take this opportunity to inform you of a replacement one night closure to allow us to carry out operations. We aim to complete all of our programmed work on one night on 19thNovember, but we have also pre-booked a closure for Friday 20th November as a contingency. We have been in consultation with the Local Authority and Emergency Services to enable us to work over night which will allow us to install further safety barriers and additional white lining.
The A465 road closure will extend from Brynmawr Roundabout to Glanbaiden Roundabout, with the full Glanbaiden Roundabout fully open during the operation. Station Road Gilwern and Station Road Clydach South will be able to cross the A465 as previously organised.
We currently envisage the work will be carried out between the times listed below
20.00hrs to 06.00hrs ? Thursday 19th November 2015
and as a contingency
20.00hrs to 06.00hrs ? Friday 20th November 2015
The work operation will include the use of the lorries, cranes, vans, compressors and small tools. Emergency vehicles will be escorted through the works as on previous occasions
