Langcliffe Pot rescue 1974 - request for help

Rick Stanton and I are working on a book together - his autobiography.

We'd like to speak to someone involved with the Langcliffe Pot rescue of 1974 - could anyone help us with some background info?

This was the one when Nemesis choke collapsed.

Hi David

I think that the 1974 rescue, involved trapped cavers from the RRCPC.

Maybe somebody like Hugh StLawrence might point you in the right direction

Harry Long led the rescue - and he's still around. I remember him giving me an acro jack to take through to Nemesis, only to find that it wasn't needed, and having to take it all the way out again! I finished up being swept up by Dave Brook who was sent in towards the end of the rescue to be the tail end charlie.
