Auction Guide Price ?15,000 to ?25,000*

    Description
Poulton  Quarry,  also  known  as  St  Katherine's
Quarry,  presents  possibly  one  of  the  most
unusual  properties  that  we  have  had  the
pleasure of offering for sale for some time and
we are delighted to be able to offer a piece of
    real local history.

Poulton Quarry was used as a limestone quarry
during the 1800s, and possibly before.      Since
the  removal  of  stone  became  unviable  the
quarry  fulfilled  other  roles  including  acting  as
an  air  raid  shelter  for  the  local  school  during
WWII  and  more  recently  used  for  producing
    mushrooms.

The site consists of  a  network of  underground
rooms  and  pillars  which  vary  in  height  and
width  and  there  have  been  some  supporting
brick  columns  with  steel  RSJ  beams  installed
along the quarry.  Please note that apart from
the entrance area there is no over ground land
    included in the sale.

    Access
Access to the quarry is via a right of way over
the  private  car park  of  Kennet Gardens, with
and  without  vehicles,  for  the  purposes  of
unloading  and  then  a  pedestrian  access
leading  from  the  parking  area  to  the  quarry
entrance.    Full  details  of  the  access  will  be
    contained in the auction pack.
    Viewings
Due to the nature of the site and to ensure the
safety  of  those  viewing  and  Cooper  and
Tanner  colleagues  there  are  strict  instructions
with regard to arranging viewings and we ask
that  these  are  followed.    No  children  will  be
allowed on site, without exception.  Viewers will
be  allotted  a  time  slot  for  their  viewing  and
those  who  miss  their  time  cannot  be
guaranteed  a  viewing.  Viewings  will  be
accompanied  onto  and  off  the  site  and  a
member of staff will remain with you at all times.
Hard  hats  and  hi  viz  jackets  will  be  provided
and  we  ask  that  suitable  foot  wear  is  worn.
Please note that there is limited parking in the
area  and  so  we ask  that you  park  in  the  car
park adjacent to the canal (nearest postcode
BA15 1BX) and walk to the site

Services: There are no services currently
connected and buyers must rely on their own
    enquiries.
    Completion
Completion  has  been  set  for  Thursday  10
    th
