CNCC AGM 2020

CNCC

Well-known member
To all CNCC Members and Northern Cavers

We would like to provide notice of the 2020 CNCC Annual General Meeting:

***** CNCC AGM Saturday 7th March 2020, 10am, Hellifield Village Institute *****

All CNCC Full Member clubs are encouraged to attend, participate and vote on the various matters. The meeting will include updates from all Officers as well as scheduled agenda items and election of the Officers and CNCC Committee for 2020-2021. You can see if your club is a full member here:
https://cncc.org.uk/about/clubs.php

To vote you will need to either bring a letter of authorisation from an Officer of your club, or this authorisation can be emailed to me in advance (secretary@cncc.org.uk).

If your club is not a full member, but you would like to get involved in helping improve northern caving, support the CNCC, and hear about us on matters of importance, then why not apply for membership? It?s free, simple and a one-off event. Details here:
https://cncc.org.uk/get-involved/membership/

If you are already a full member and would perhaps like to be part of the CNCC Committee in 2020, then more information on what this involves can be found here:
https://cncc.org.uk/get-involved/committee/

There is also a vacancy on the CNCC Committee for an Individual Caver Representative, a position which was created a few years ago but which has yet to be taken up:
https://cncc.org.uk/get-involved/individuals/

Applications for Committee and Officer positions (which includes our incumbents wishing to restand), applications for full membership, and all agenda items must be submitted to secretary@cncc.org.uk no later than Saturday 11th January 2020.

The agenda and all supporting documents will be published a few weeks later via our website.

We?re really excited about what 2020 has to offer. Work is ongoing behind the scenes to bring Casterton Fell onto the Online Booking System, which if successfully would abolish the last of our dated and unsustainable access agreements spanning entire fells. This will free time to focus on other areas. Anchors is going to be a big thing in 2020, with a vision to make the installation of anchors something more people can get involved with in a more transparent way.

Our meetings are open to all (whether member or not) and over recent years we have even heard people describe them as enjoyable, and an eye-opening experience to the kinds of things that go on in the background to make northern caving as accessible, open, safe and enjoyable as possible. Come along and say hello and tell us what you think or just to see what goes on.

Happy Christmas to you all!

Matt Ewles
Secretary, Council of Northern Caving Clubs
