Camping...
Please note that camping is off-site, a short distance from the venue. Please help us by keeping the site tidy and placing all your rubbish in the bins. Also: no music and no fires please. You must not camp at the venue itself. Security staff will be patrolling to enforce this restriction.

Club stands...
Club stands should be booked using the online booking form by 6 September, in order to guarantee your pitch.

Any questions, please contact Wendy - info-desk@hidden.earth

Can you tell us more about the camping venue please  :-\

Is it going to be patrolled by security?

A km isn't far to walk, I am presuming you want people to leave their cars at the camp site?

There are to be no open fires, can a camping stove be used?

Are there showers at the camp site & University?

Where is the Saturday night dinner going to be?  Is that walking distance?  (of course, it is silly question. Cavers can walk ... they walk long distances in funny cloths and with big packs ...  ;)

Now you are going to tell me somewhere  :read:

Yes it is, 24 hours a day.

Actually no, there is limited parking at the camp site so we would like you to drop off your tents and stuff and park at the venue (where there is loads of parking)

The "no fires" rule is to ensure the grass isn't damaged, it's a football field and has to be returned in a playable condition at the end of the weekend. Sensible use of stoves is fine, don't damage the grass...  (y)

There are showers at the university campus, in the sport's centre, when it is open.

The Saturday dinner will be on the University campus, in the main catering area (the same place you will get your daytime food from)

So we can leave SRT kits in the car on site and go and get them for the SRT race, and return shiney purchases easily to car - sounds good.
I guess i'll bring a tent rather than sleeping in my car this year

Campervans? how are these going to work this year please?

ETA ignore me, i just read the other thread which details the campervans. :)

PLEASE REMEMBER TO BOOK IN AT RECEPTION BEFORE GOING TO THE CAMP SITE

M5 & M6 traffic is horrid on a Friday evening.  If reception is closed when we arrive can we get into the camping field still or will security stop us?  :-\

Reception this year will be in the bar area and will remain open until last orders at the bar (11:50pm).  Most should have arrived by then and been able to book in at reception and collect their camping ticket. However there will be a small number that might not arrive until after the bar and reception have closed. This won't be a problem for late arrivals since security on the campsite will be aware that a few may arrive late having not booked in and collected their camping ticket. Security will make a note of and pass details of late arrivals to reception.

Common sense will prevail.

Maj.
