Dankness Below is so Naughty But Very Amusing.

The Dankness Below website is no longer at all amusing as the domain appears to have been 'parked'

Has 'the ropiest caving news outlet' been hacked, hung by its own epithet, had ace reporter Ethel Bangrod confined to a special place down below, or what?

It appears that the walls have ears - they've just posted to Facebook apologising for their temporary absence. Apparently one of the creators moved on to other projects, but we should sit tight for more dank naughtiness (y)

Don't quite get the comments , there is a review of the latest Descent , Alan Jeffries has been reviewing some old classics.

The latest BCA newsleter is reviewed

I review "Rich Mountains of Lead just after Christmas

It is not set up as a lace to gossip but more to post articles of interest

Yes I can confirm, we publish caving news, whilst darkness below (with an R) is a satire of the Daily Mail but with a caving theme.

Unfortunately our website is down, partly due to our webmaster moving elsewhere (we think he mentioned something about running an expedition to Mulu?) but also partly because we received several hilarious legal threats - we will probably move to something sexier like danknessbelow.ru or host the website in some secretive fringe jurisdiction outside the reaches of UK law enforcement, maybe Ystradfellte or Monyash.

Anyways Mike, you're welcome to review books for us too. You'll have to think of some creative pseudonyms however, as most of the good ones have been taken up by the BCA chairman (we have yet to publish his excellent article on how to pick an Abus 65/50)

That's reminiscent of Viz:
One time Trinny and Susannah threatened to sue the comic after being portrayed as school bullies in a cartoon strip (Fat and Skinny: Suzanna and Trinny). An official Viz spokesman said "We are too busy laughing to comment".

Monyash is still subject to Barmote Law, but given the Barmote Court for the area was traditionally held in the Bulls Head, if someone does try to do you under the Mining Laws, at least you can have a pint during the trial!
