The actual ballot papers are being emailed out at them moment.

A problem with the email address link in the covering email has crept in.

The best thing to do is to click or cut and paste this email address below or retype it by hand rather than click on the link.

The reason is that the hyphen, which looks like a normal hyphen but isn't.  :-[

I've hopefully fixed the link in the covering email for those are being emailed from now on (the last 1500).

No, we suspect it is worse than that and lies in how Windows 7 differs from Windows 10 as well as Officer 2016 .docx documents differ from .docx and .doc versions.  (And don't ask about the invisible spaces.)  When I get back to a friendly internet server (the one I am currently on only allows me to send out emails to 70 persons per two days - an anti spam device) I will be sending out a work around for those who got the poor message.  :-[

Hopefully Cookie has solved it for the remaining quarter of our membership.

Still MS causing problems by ignoring external standards and doing their own thing though, I had lots of fun and games in my previous job where Flash and XML was getting knackered by Microsoft's non-standard characters....
