As a matter of principle, if you feel that something can be improved, do feel free to change it. The hardest thing is to put something up from new; improving it is relatively easy as you have an existing context to work within.

Then change it  ;) I put it up there because we had a blank space, having something at least promotes discussion and refinement. I promise I wont sulk too much if you do improve it  ;)

I find that progressing forward on all fours is a particularly good method to use when negotiating lowish passages.
Even lower passages is where i find the most efficient way is to get on ones belly and use elbows/forearms, and knees/thighs/toes to advace (and retract)
Wherever possible and passage height allows I find that walking upright certainly speeds things up... ;)
