Good places to eat in the Evening

had a pretty poor experience on Sunday in one pub (ended up having fish and chips in Bradford on the way home)
Any recommendations for good evening food in the Volume 2/3 areas?

Which area exactly? Does that cover Ingleton/ Settle vicinity or are you looking for somewhere else?

Depends what you want, of course, but I can recommend the Marton Arms.

We had our club AGM there the other day and the food was superb, definitely a step up from the usual pub grub.  The service was friendly and efficient, and I thought it was good value - you can probably find cheaper elsewhere, but not of the same quality.

Game Cock is very nice but usually needs a booking in my experience
Inglesport does surprisingly good food for later afternoon (I had a cracking curry the other day)
Craven Arms based on the food at the RRCPC dinner was good

Bernies is a foody place now, they do a Supper Club at weekends, don't know when they are open though.
Helwith Bridge is a fair priced place but my favourite is the chip shop in Settle.

I can also recommend the Three Horseshoes in Ingleton and the Ruposhi Indian Restaurant in High Bentham.

The indian restaurants in Ingleton, Settle and Bentham are all good, as are the chip shops in the same places. The Marton Arms, Wheatsheaf, Hill Inn and Craven Arms are good for pub food. The Italian next to the co op in Ingleton is another option, although I haven't tried it myself.
