Help required - safety of caving

I need to (fairly urgently) generate some evidence of the health benefits and safety of caving as an activity.

ISTR there was an article in Descent a few years ago which addressed the comparative safety of caving with other activities. Can anyone provide a citation for this article?

Links/references to anything else published on this would be welcome.

Nick.

Thank you, that is useful.

Something which specifically (and quantatively) compares the risk of caving with sports such as rugby or horse riding would be most useful.

The title pages of the last 5 years worth of Descent give no clues to such an article.  The latest issue has an article on 25 years of rescue but it focuses on caving stats.

Has anyone got a risk assessment for a caving expedition that they can let me have a copy of, please?

We used to do them for the Mulu trips I ran.  I've lost most of my planning docs for those trips but if you still have the stuff from the trip you came on with me it will be there in the bundle.  If not and you still need one I can put you in touch with the author.
