Please can anyone help me identify the origin of the text in the attached image? I only have this fragment with no other contextual information.
Thanks

I could probably track it down next time I am at the British Caving Library (next Weds).

It might be either :

Explored 1965-68 RRCPC
Extended 1983 CDG

But we have other holdings about the Morecambe bay caves.

I would suggest North-West Speleology Vol.1 No.1 - New Discoveries in S.Westmorland by Pete Ashmead (as referenced in NWS Vol.3 No.1, p.34).
BCL has a copy.

Hi Martin
I dont think it is though page there is a page missing from my copy. I am wondering if the pencil note at the bottom refer to the Orpheus Caving Club newsletters.

Hi Phil (Prof Worthog)

I have an electronic copy of the Kendal Journals  - could not see this in any KCC  journal or newsletter from around that time.

Here's a thought,  I have another Morecambe Bay reference - for some caves at Arnside and Silverdale from about that time

The group that published it were called NOLSPEC  (no idea what it stands for )
Interestingly the text references this article as NOLSPEC Reports Vol 4 book 20 December 1969

Your notation on the paper says Vol 4 book 4  - could there be a link ?

Hi Beardy
Sounds like you have the answer - North Lonsdale Speleological Society or something similar. I wonder if there is a copy in the BCRA library.

Seems to be some confusion whether your other reference is vol 4 no.20, or vol 20 no.4:
https://northerncaves.co.uk/caves/details.php?id=2125

https://northerncaves.co.uk/caves/details.php?id=2417

Red Rose have a copy of this issue (listed as vol 4 no.20), none on BCL

Gilpin Bank caves are the only ones around Morecambe Bay listed as explored by NLSC (so presumably North Lonsdale Speleo. Club) in 1967, but no reference:
https://northerncaves.co.uk/caves/details.php?id=2078

& also The Borehole, 1964 (although it appears to be before they joined NOLSPEC):
