Exactly what dimension do you need - internal diameter of the pipe?

I may be in Kingsdale in the next day or two; if so I can call in with a tape measure.

Internal please, if possible, not the end of the world if you don?t get a chance to check. I won?t be using the info for a little while, just planning ahead.

Thanks

OK, I'll try and grab the chance at some stage. But if anyone else gets chance to stick a tape measure across it meanwhile, please can you post here?

My estimate is 61cm diameter, I know this because the lower part of my leg (knee to heal) fits in perfectly when sliding in feet first but is difficult to extract at anything other than the exact angle it went in at

Diving kit related I imagine, it way bigger than any single cylinder or scooter so can only guess it's back mounted rebreather or twin set he's thinking of taking in

If this is what I think it is about, I already have a new disc of plywood cut, and the cross timbers ready to fix.

I noticed the lid had worn too small on my last visit!

Thanks all, very helpful responses.

Just for carting some kit in - I?m old and lazy I want to do it as easily as possible. No CCR or stonking great twinset though, just my SM 12s or 15s - big enough to be a right nuisance for me to transport.

Have sent you an email with some images - with thanks to the chap from the Lincoln Scouts caving group, who kindly posed in the entrance for me.

Andrew - this isn't what you had in mind after all. So go for it with the new lid and thanks, on behalf of your fellow cavers, for taking the initiative.

Thanks, i?ll have to get my finger out now that I have said this. I will not say how long I have had the parts ready to assemble sat in the garage!

Easily big enough. Thanks all.

Andy, I think a certain adequate member is coming up with a more than an adequate solution to this  ;)
