Lots of outdoor gear available

The following items of gear belonged to a caver who passed away in May. (They come from the same source as a long list of books I posted about on here on 19-7-19). The proceeds of his estate will be used to benefit caving, in ways yet to be decided. So we?re looking for donations in exchange for these items.

As you can see, most items are for camping or mountaineering, rather than caving.
Send a PM with your normal email address if interested in anything. Collect from Dales, or we may be able to sort caver post. (If you want to look at any items before commitment it?d be easiest to do in Settle. If you want to look at something elsewhere in the Dales, we?d need a bit of notice. Or we can always take photos for you.)

Most items in decent condition but ask for specifics when you get in touch.

I think the camping table has now been claimed.

I'm really surprised no-one has enquired about this:

Vango MP Tundra (hollowfibre) sleeping bag (no stuff sac but good condition).

It's seldom or perhaps never been used. And (being hollowfibre) it can easily be washed, so the ideal caving hostel pit. We're not expecting a massive amount for any of this gear; don't hold back on making offers.

I'm interested in the vango sleeping bag. Do you know how warm it is?

Hello Keris, that's not the easiest of questions!

I think - but I'm by no means certain - it's what's called by some a two season bag.  It's not the thinnest, certainly. It's the sort that can be made more versatile by the addition of a Meraklon sleeping bag liner, to extend its range at the colder end. Maybe look it up on the internet and see what's said about that model (although it's not a current model). It's a proper mummy shaped bag not one of those cheaper rectangular things.

Where are you based? If you come to the Dales, best bet might be to have a look and see for yourself.

Or - if you PM me with your email address, I can take a photo or two for you.

P.S. it's shaped like this:

. . . but it's not this model of course.

I've now got a couple of photos of that Vango sleeping bag, which appears to be in excellent and unused condition. Don't ask me to post them here (I never did suss out how to do that despite encouragement from Pegasus) but anyone who wants to see the pictures could PM me with an email address and I'll send them over.

You can just attach a photo to your post - simple.  Not actually harder than attaching them to an email.

Clip the 'Attachments and other options' located below the 'post reply' box.  This brings up an 'Attach - choose file' option, where you can find the desired photograph on your device.

The image size is limited to 10Mb but this should be plenty for most photos.  There is also a limit of 6 photographs per post.  The photo is an attachment and doesn't appear in preview.

Yay - it worked! Thanks for your tutorial Badlad.

These two pictures should give folk the idea - look closely at how clean the inside fabric at the top is.

As with all this gear, we're not looking for a massive amount. Anyone interested?

Ah - but even miracles are possible when them as know are kind enough to help!

Looks like the Stubai wooden shafted ice axe has been claimed now.
(The ice hammer's still available.)
