Water levels in Kingsdale

Can anyone help out with the current water level around Kingsdale ? We're up this weekend from the deepest South Coast and hoping to do a Simpson's/Swinstow exchange.

Any thoughts on the entrance stream ways water levels welcome.

Thanks

Andy

Too early to say at this stage until the forecast firms up. Rivers are now fairly well down from Saturday's deluge but still slightly boisterous. A lot may depend on whether the fronts dump some rain or some snow; if the latter then both Simpson Pot and Swinsto may well be OK, if cold. We're due more sharp overnight frosts this week, which should drop rivers further, if there's no liquid rain.

Let's see what happens as the week pans out though. I'm sure someone will add information to help you decide nearer the weekend. Wrap up well.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, agree that it's still a bit early to accurately predict the weekend weather. It was more just to see how much water you'd had up there over the last week or so.

Tuesday morning quick update - the dollop of weather forecast today is here - but falling mainly as rain rather than snow, at least at low levels. Looks slightly more wintry on the tops though (where they aren't obscured by clag at the moment). Hard frost due tonight - that'll nip any rise in water levels in the bud.

Excellent, thanks for the update. 5 day Met Office shows that it looks fairly dry this weekend too, so hopefully the trip's a go-er !!  ;)
