Big emotional rescue yesterday.  I certainly felt it in all sorts of ways.  Well done to all involved.  CRO and all the other organisations, controllers,  individual rescuers - from where I stood we all did a our best job.  I just wish it had a happier outcome.  RIP Eski - way to go.

Very sorry to hear that.

My daughter was the other injury (CRO incident 42) - we're very grateful that the CRO could spare a couple of volunteers to help her out while the major incident was going on.

Heartfelt sympathies to friends and family of the gentleman in Curtain Pot.

My sincere condolences to the family of the caver who lost their life.... Rest in peace wherever you are :(

Also my heart felt feelings to all personnel concerned with the Rescue / call out....it's tough thing to do even with a positive outcome, but so disheartening when the outcome isn't favourable....Good on you all for your efforts.

Absolutely Tim. I am heartbroken for his family, friends and the caving community's loss. He was an amazing explorer who contributed to the exploration of the Dales in a significant way and how impressive to be so fit and brilliant still in his 70's.

I am lost for words to express my gratitude and admiration to the whole caving, rescue, and local community who came out to help.
Thank you so much to everyone for their selfless efforts and generosity with their time, effort and kit.

It was the most supreme example of teamwork and multi-agency cooperation I have ever witnessed in what was a very challenging situation for all involved.
It is heartening to know that when in need the caving community will do everything in their power to help those in need.

It is a very sad outcome and I know he received the utmost of care, comfort, and compassion in his final hours.

Thank you all
Steph
