'Your Dream Signs' - Theme for new Underground tours and programs in Naples

If our readers from outside Italy are going to be in Naples during the month of May, there is a spectacular series of presentations and tours beneath Number 140, Piazza Cavour in the underground "Museum of the Naples Underground". The events, beginning the last weekend on April, 2006 will continue each weekend during the entire month of May. May marks an internationally popular citywide "Monuments in May" celebration. Special events within ancient palaces, cathedrals, catacombs, and the historic greco-roman city center offer a veritable smorgasbord of fascinating things to do.
For the first time, under the auspices of the Southern Speleological Society of Naples, and its fabled founder, Engineer Clemente Esposito, their unique underground museum will offer a series of audio visual and museum display lectures. The programs are also provided through cooperation with the Technical Engineering Society of Naples, Italy.
Each program will be followed by guided tours of the quarried caverns, aqueducts and reservoirs of which the museum is part. Presentations are limited to a fixed number of reservation-only admissions.
Below is the presentation schedule with program topics, dates and times. If you are a history buff, speleologist, or just love the offbeat and interesting . . . don't miss this!
