Caving in Jura

This July I'm going to be in the Jura region of France with my partner, and naturally we wish to do some caving there. Resources found on the Internet have given us some pointers, but I thought to ask here as well: any recommendations?

We've got ropes and SRT kit, as well as wet suits. We're looking for something moderately challenging and maybe a bit vertical. We're reasonably experienced, but not super hardcore by any means. It's going to be just the two of us, so we're not going to rig any mega-caves by ourselves. (We've tried to contact locals as well, but so far they've been unresponsive.)

I enjoyed Gouffre du Bois d'Ully (100m roadside shaft), Grotte de Chaveroche (canals - wet - advise buoyancy aids), and the Grotte de Lanans through-trip (very well decorated, couple of short pull-throughs).

Get the 1:25,000 (Serie Orange) or at the very least the 1:50,000 (Serie Bleu) IGN maps - some of the entrances can be  tricky to find.

20 years ago the camp site at Ornans was pleasant and family-friendly; there were smaller ones upstream along the river that were quieter and more tree-shaded.

Nice walking in the area too.

If you are going to stay in the Ornans region, which is in fact in the Doubs and not Jura then you will find some very good books
Inventaire speleologique de doubs tome  1 up to tome 5

http://boutique.gipek.fr/inventaires/10-inventaire-speleologique-du-doubs-tome-4.html

Some caving tips
- Pourpevelle
- Malatiere
- Goufre de Lagarde
- Cul du Vau
-....

Some info about classics in the doubs with a map

Thank you! I'll look into the caves, books and campgrounds.

(I actually had searched the forum for info before posting; however, the last person to ask was looking for caves suitable for children. The post before that had some good suggestions, I just wanted some more  ;) )
