Last year Dudley Caving Club decided to get away from the awful British winter in search for warmer climates. We spent a full on week exploring the beautiful caves of Mallorca. There were tears, laughs and a very messy last night in Magaluf!

If you've ever fancied mixing your holidays and caving come along. We're hoping all our research will be of use to some and save on a lot of the hard work on how to organise permits and contacts, what to avoid and what is an absolute must.

Below is a very small taster of what awaited us when we arrived!

Indeed - that walking's not bad on Mallorca either....great place

Most definitely. We didn't do any organised hikes, but most of our walk in's were over an hour and we took in the most stunning scenery.  (y)

It was a great talk and it's inspired me to try and convince some fellow members of Croydon to investigate doing something similar.  At least one is Spanish so may be able to help with guide book interpretation!

Great talk.

Cheers,

james.

Thanks James,

it really is a fantastic place to visit. The caves are crazy pretty. It is one of those locations where it is actually better to go slightly out of season as it gets just too hot otherwise!
