Day trip to Devon in March

A few of us from Black Rose are hoping to go down to Devon for a day as a detour from an otherwise Mendips-obsessed trip in March. I think Afton Red Rift and Baker's Pit sound like good choices. I assume access will not be granted to Reed's Cave at that time of year. Can anyone on here help us out with permits/keys (if they're needed) or recommend anything else unmissable?

Dog Hole is fantastically beautiful, if you can find the way, have the key and are small/flexible enough...  (y)

One of the best sporting trips in Devon without doubt is the round trip in Afton. Baker's Pit Plymouth extension provides some challenging route finding whilst for fun in a muddy 3D maze with a lake at the end of it you have Pridhamsleigh. Another fine round trip is Radford Cave in Plymouth.

Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions, and especially to Joe90 who joined us for the day.
We had a fantastic day in Devon, starting with the excellent round trip in Afton Red Rift, followed by Baker's Pit, including the Plymouth extensions, then Dog Hole and Prid.
I can certainly recommend day trips to Devon!
